Top Mobile Payment in Australia

SQUARE CASH APP – Square Cash app allows businesses and consumers to send and receive payments in minutes. The service allows users to request and transfer money to another Cash account via its Cash App or email. Users can then choose to withdraw the money with its debit Visa card, called Cash Card, in ATMs or transfer it to any local bank account. Cash App is, quite simply, an app for sending and receiving money. Users can create a free account that will then let them instantly send or receive money from other users within the same country.

APPLE PAY – Apple Pay is an NFC-payment system that allows users to make payments in person, in iOS apps, and online.

Australians will be able to pay for goods using their iPhone, iPad or Apple Watches and Apple Pay. Many stores support the use of Apple Pay, including large retailers like Target, 7-Eleven, Airbnb, and even many grocery stores. Simply tap your phone and go. In order to use Apple Pay in Australia, you will need to be an American Express card holder, which is about 20 per cent of the card market in Australia. Apple is continuing to work with the other card holders but there is no update yet on when Visa and Mastercard holders in Australia will be able to use Apple Pay. Apple Pay will be available for Australians with an Amex card issued directly by American Express — not an American Express card issued through a bank.

GOOGLE PAY – Formerly called Android Pay, Google Pay is an NFC-based mobile payment app that allows users to make payments via their Android-compatible devices. It also stores gift cardsloyalty programse-tickets, and boarding passes.

Google’s refreshed mobile payment solution – Google Pay – is now rolling out in Australia, replacing Android Pay.

While Google Pay keeps all of Android Pay’s functionality, the new app has a refreshed design. The main screen now shows you your primary card, as well as recent transactions and rewards. A secondary card tab groups all of the cards you’ve added to Google Pay, as well as cards for loyalty programs and gift vouchers.
