Bloconomic 2019 is expected to shake the Malaysian Blockchain industry with the interconnected events that will take place twice this year to disrupt the “winter market.”
The event also looked to appreciate the effort of blockchain organizations with the very first blockchain awards ceremony in Malaysia. In an effort to bring together global thought leaders to Malaysia, Bloconomic is expected to gather a 3,000 audience in Bloconomic Expo on August 15 to 16, 2019. The launching took place on April 25, 2019, in Le Meridien, Putrajaya with a successful turnout to the one-day event, Bloconomic Excellence Award ceremony.
In empowering the next generation of technologies, Bloconomic brought 30 influential speakers from different regions together to discuss issues surrounding the blockchain industry including ICOs, STOs, IR4.0, regulations, Malaysia’s government insight on the subject and so on.
Gathered there were investors, venture capitalists, start-ups and media companies from Malaysia and around the world. The Bloconomic Expo in August will bring more than 70 speakers for an insightful discussion as it is one of the larger events in Malaysia.
The event is packed with insightful discussions, presentations from great leaders and award launching & nominations. Bloconomic also invited academics in government universities and academies that are passionate to network with experts from different blockchain fields like AI, cryptocurrency and security systems to bring these technologies to universities for research purposes.
The universities present were IIUM, MSU, UITM, CITY University, UniKL, and MMU.
At the opening ceremony, the president of the Malaysia Blockchain Association (MBA) Dato’ Rayson Wong welcomed the audience with his speech on “Traditional businesses will be transformed using blockchain technology.” He emphasized how vital the blockchain is towards technological innovation and connecting business these days.
The event continued with panel discussions and business presentations from JioJioMe, Awepay, GoldFinX, TienChat, Tokoin, Big Reward, Trivechain, and Montserrat.
In the late evening, Bloconomic ended the event with a fun cocktail party and award nominations mainly to present certificates to the nominated companies.
Expect Bloconomic 2019 to be different than last year because the Bloconomic is the first to organized a blockchain award in Malaysia. Bloconomic has received an overwhelmed response on the participation of the award. Launching took place on April 25, 2019, and the voting will continue until July 15, 2019, before the application is closed. The award ceremony will happen in the Bloconomic Expo on August 15 to 16, 2019.
